Dr. Daniel J. Moran is the founder and director of the MidAmerican Psychological Institute and
has been practicing applied behavior analysis since 1992. He has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2003, and is also a licensed
clinical psychologist and certified school psychologist.

“D.J.” started working with individuals with developmental delays in 1992 as a behavior therapist for the Lovaas Replication Project at
Rutgers University. Seeing the effects that applied behavior analysis had on the verbal behavior of the children he was working with,
D.J. began studying ABA and clinical behavior analysis.

D.J. has been an active member of the Association for Behavior Analysis since 1994, and has served as chair of the Teaching Behavior Analysis
Special Interest Group, and secretary of the Clinical Behavior Analysis SIG. He also served two terms as the president of the Behavior
Analysis Society of Illinois (BASIL). D.J. is co-editor for the book,
Evidence-Based Educational
Methods (Moran & Malott, 2004, Academic Press), and co-author of the book, ACT in Practice: Case Conceptualization in Acceptance
and Commitment Therapy (Bach & Moran, 2007, New Harbinger Press).

Dr. Moran has served as a university professor since 1996, worked as a consultant for the Illinois Department of Developmental Disabilities for
several years, and continues to participate in the behavior analysis field as a clinician, researcher, and supervisor.
